What's In Your Bag?: My Bag (Backpack)

Hello! Missed me? Finally after forever, I was able to sit down and write about this long overdue series I’ve wanted to make. I find other people’s bags very interesting because it says a lot about what the person is like. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos featuring their makeup bags and such so I decided to make my own series which is sort of the same but with a little twist.

“What’s In Your Bag?” will feature the contents of other people’s bags which means I have to be very nosy.  I wanted to strictly focus on beauty/makeup kits/bags but I’m pretty sure that not all people have a kit/bag dedicated entirely for their makeup.

However, I thought it would be fair to show my own bag and what’s inside first, which is what this post will be about. I basically have a backpack and I use it most of the time at school. I’m the type of person who likes to bring a lot of things so I had to buy a backpack. Why this instead of a shoulder bag or sling? I hate how those kinds of bags would only put the weight on one side of my body. I want the whole weight of my bag to be distributed evenly. Is it weird? I don’t know, that’s just me. I also don’t like to dress up a lot during weekdays when I have classes, so I picked a bag that would match my everyday outfit: shirt, jeans and Chucks. I just want to emphasize that the contents of my bag change a little depending on the circumstances (ex. When I need to bring my camera, laptop, other books, extra clothes). But the things I will show you are mostly staples inside my bag. So without anymore blabbering, here’s What’s Inside My Bag.

I bought a Jansport bag last year. I think Jansport has a good reputation with their backpacks or just bags in general and I love their designs. Their bags are also very durable.

I want to start off with the outer pocket where I usually put my little notebook where I write my to-dos and such. I have two here just because the other one is for (1) scratch notes and the newer one is for the (2) final notes. I also keep a handy (3) pen here because I hate having to open my pencil case inside my bag. It’s a hassle. I also have my (4) keys and a (5) fan which was given to me by my Japanese foster sister.

Okay, you are about to see the insides of my bag. Brace yourselves.

I wanted to separate the things inside my bag, starting with these. I always bring my (1) Strategic Management book, not because I like to study everyday nor because I have my Strat class everyday. I take it with me so I can insert my (2) refill notebooks which I use for taking down notes. I only have three. One notebook is enough for two subjects. I also bring a (3) mini calculator with me because I think it’s handy. Then I have my (4) Kipling pencil case. I won’t get into details with what’s inside but I do have my sign pen, highlighters, a stapler, pencil, and other geeky things. The coolest thing I just wanted to show off inside my pencil case is this.

It looks like a lipstick but it actually is a pair of scissors. I got this again from my Japanese foster sister. Cool eh?

Next up are beauty items. I use a (1) bag I got from our trip to Sagada Province last year. I put everything in there except for the (2) Gentle Feminine Wipes and (3) Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes. I also usually bring some dry tissues but I ran out. Inside the small bag, I have an (4) ethyl alcohol, a (5) hypoallergenic powder, (6) lotion, (7) mouthwash, which is empty (I swear I have a backup, I was just too lazy to replace it), (8) handy band aids (these are lifesavers), (9) Vitress thingy, (10) comb, (11) EOS lip balm, (12) Revlon Kissable Balm Stain, (13) Revlon Lip Butter, (14) Gatsby Oil Clear Sheet, (15) my favorite perfume, and a liquid (16) Safeguard soap (for “emergency” situations). I’m a girl scout!

Lastly are random but the most important items. I have my (1) wallet of course. And no, it’s not a real CC one. I don’t really feel the need to buy a very expensive wallet. Next is my tiny (2) Blue Magic card holder. I used to have another one which was exactly the same design, size and color but I broke it when I was in high school. I used to put my cellphone in it. Now, I use it to put my cards like driver’s license, school ID, ATM, etc. I also have an (3) umbrella that I stole from my pop’s car. HAHA. Next up are my (4) Apple earphones which are by far my favorite earphones yet because these are the ones that stuck with me the longest. Last but definitely not the least are my (5) iPhone 4s, not iPhone 4S.

I guess that’s it. How about you, What’s In Your Bag?
